Chicago is home to 77 major neighborhoods, each of them diverse and vibrant in their own way. Whether you want to live close to 56³Ô¹ÏÍø’s downtown campus or explore other areas, here’s a quick guide to help you decide which neighborhood suits you the best:

South Loop (Downtown)

  • Highlights: Walkable, Grant Park, Museum Campus.
  • Proximity: Walking distance (5–10 min).
  • Transit: Red, Orange, Green lines at 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Station.
Museum Campus

Hyde Park (South Side)

  • Highlights: Historic architecture, lakefront parks, cultural institutions.
  • Proximity: ~25 min via transit.
  • Transit: CTA Busses #2 or #6, or the Metra Electric Line.
